Washington, D.C. – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today launched a new website, overhauling his digital presence to improve constituent services and increase access to information for Coloradans, organizations, and media outlets.
A service menu at the top of the website offers easy access to Coloradans’ most frequent requests—most notably help navigating large bureaucracies, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Internal Revenue Service. Coloradans also can schedule meetings and events, seek support for grant applications, set up tours in D.C., order flags, and request letters of recognition. A newly-structured student resources page offers information about internships, the Senate page program, U.S. Service Academy nominations, and financial aid.
Born out of Coloradans’ use of the hashtag #VoicesOfCO at Bennet’s town halls across the state, the website also features a new tool for constituents to share their stories. With permission, Bennet will periodically share these stories on social media and in speeches.
In a constant effort to increase transparency, the new website provides organizations and media outlets access to Bennet’s press releases, voting record, legislative history, priorities, and social media posts.
The new website is mobile responsive, accessible to users with disabilities, and can be translated into Spanish and other languages.
