Under a fully implemented Senate Republican tax bill, tens of millions of working and middle-class Americans would face tax hikes – while those with yearly incomes over $1 million would receive permanent tax cuts. The bill would result in 13 million more uninsured by 2027 and rising premiums each year. It would also add at least $1.5 trillion more to the country’s debt. Bennet is calling for Senate Republicans to scrap their partisan process and instead work in a bipartisan way to accomplish responsible tax reform that actually grows the economy, increases middle-class paychecks, and creates jobs.
