Washington, DC – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the following statement on the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposal to continue construction of the VA hospital in Aurora:
“This medical facility must be completed for Colorado’s veterans, and construction cannot be allowed to stop. We’ll take a careful look at this proposal, and we hope that Congressional and committee leadership can work with the VA to come to an agreement soon. Congress needs to act quickly to ensure that work on the hospital continues. Those working at the site deserve certainty, and our veterans need access to the world-class facilities they have earned.”
