Washington, DC – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet issued the following statement on the resignation of Glenn Haggstrom, the Principal Executive Director in the Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
“We’ve called for the VA to hold those responsible for the years of gross mismanagement of the new regional hospital accountable and we are glad to see the VA finally doing so. The VA must continue to make real changes, focus on putting the best capable and qualified people in charge of this project, and show it has a plan in place to finish construction. These steps along with a more transparent process will hopefully help put us on a path toward the completion of the hospital for Colorado veterans.”
