Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today welcomed today’s announcement that the Town of Estes Park will receive a $300,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA). Estes Park will use the grant to work with the local business community on an economic recovery strategy to boost business development and job growth in the region.
“Last year’s floods devastated many communities, but folks in Estes Park and others affected by the disaster have been hard at work rebuilding their towns better than before,” Bennet said. “Nearly a year later, Estes Park businesses have made a comeback, and this grant is going to help the business community and local leaders continue their efforts to restore the local economy and support job growth.”
More information on how Estes Park will use these crucial resources can be found on the EDA website.
Last October, Bennet and Senator Mark Udall urged the EDA to prioritize Colorado flood recovery efforts as it awards grants in the months following the floods. Both senators and their staffs have worked with Estes Park and several other communities in support of EDA grants to augment the flood recovery effort.
