Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today released the following statement in honor of Women’s History Month.
“Women’s History Month provides an opportunity for us to celebrate the progress and achievements of American women. It also serves as a reminder of the work we have left to do and the challenges our daughters and granddaughters will take on in the future.
“Women have shaped our nation’s history since its founding. They have been at the forefront in the struggle for equal rights and social justice. They wear our country’s uniform, serve in all levels of government, and take an active role in their communities every day. As the father of three girls, I take great pride in continuing the fight to ensure that women have equal pay for equal work, addressing the needs of women veterans, supporting women as they launch new businesses and protecting access to health care.”
