Washington, D.C. – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today issued the following statement after the conclusion of the first day of hearings on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh:

“I stand with my colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee in demanding the release of Judge Kavanaugh’s full White House record before his confirmation moves forward. With so much at stake—including executive power and oversight, health care and reproductive rights, campaign finance, environmental regulations, and workers’ rights—the Senate cannot fulfill its constitutional duty to advise and consent without access to his complete record. By moving forward with these hearings, Senate Republicans are depriving the American people of a full, fair, and open confirmation process.”
