Washington, D.C. – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today issued the following statement in response to the Department of the Interior’s announcement that it will modify Greater Sage-grouse conservation plans:

“The administration’s new approach to the Greater Sage-grouse will undermine years of cooperation and ultimately could lead to the listing of this species under the Endangered Species Act. It’s time for Secretary Zinke to sit down and listen to Western Governors, who have long worked together to protect the sage grouse.”
