Washington, DC – Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today urged the Senate to bring Loretta Lynch’s nomination to serve as Attorney General up for a vote this week.
“It’s been a historic and record-breaking 129 days since the President submitted Ms. Lynch’s nomination. This delay has been longer than the five previous Attorney General nominees combined. With all of the wasted time over the last three months, it’s hard to believe we haven’t already taken this vote. And we certainly shouldn’t delay it over a political fight about women’s access to health care.”
