Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet is accepting internship applications from undergraduate students, recent graduates and graduate students for his Washington, DC and Colorado offices. In addition to his Washington office, internships are available year round in the following Colorado locations: Colorado Springs, Denver, Durango, Fort Collins, Grand Junction and Pueblo.

Washington interns attend hearings and briefings, research legislative issues, meet with Congressional officials and staff, conduct U.S. Capitol tours, and draft correspondence.

Colorado interns assist Constituent Advocates as they meet with and assist Coloradans who need help navigating the federal government, represent Senator Bennet at local meetings and events, research legislative issues, and draft correspondence.

“From helping Coloradans navigate the federal government to ensuring our constituents know their voices are being heard in Washington, interns play a very important role helping my staff and me,” Bennet said. “Interns in my Colorado and Washington offices will get a hands-on experience learning about legislation, federal policy, and how the federal government operates. It is a great way to prepare to enter the job market, especially for those interested in careers in public service. I encourage anyone interested in serving Colorado and learning more about our government to apply.”

Internships are available on either a full-time or part-time basis. This is an unpaid position. Interested students and recent graduates should apply online at https://www.bennet.senate.gov/services/internships/. The deadline to apply for an internship in Washington for the Fall semester is August 15. For internships in one of Bennet’s Colorado offices, applicants will be considered on a rolling basis and can apply any time.
