Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet issued the following statement on the bombing attacks that occurred near the finish line of yesterday’s 117th Boston Marathon.
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their friends and families as they grieve the tragic loss of life, including that of a young child. For those injured, we hope and wish for a full recovery.
“I am grateful for the first responders, race volunteers, runners, and spectators who quickly went to work to help the victims. We also support the law enforcement and intelligence communities as they continue their investigations to bring those responsible to justice. And as always, we must remain vigilant as a society, remain aware of our surroundings, and report suspicious activities to the proper authorities.”
Anyone trying to find family members or friends can call the Boston Mayor’s hotline at 617-635-4500. Anyone with information that may help law enforcement with their investigation can call 1-800-494-TIPS (8477).
