Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today congratulated the Ballet Folklórico de la Raza of Colorado Springs for its participation in the 57th Inaugural Parade in Washington, DC on Monday, January 21, 2013.
“Ballet Folklórico de la Raza will make Colorado and Colorado Springs proud this weekend in the inaugural parade. It is an exciting opportunity for them to enrich this historic moment with a beautiful dance style, that reflects the history of our state.
“Congratulations and good luck to all of the dancers and their mentor, as they represent Colorado on the national stage.”
Following the Inaugural Ceremonies and luncheon, the president and vice-president will lead the parade down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington. The dance troupe will join a procession of ceremonial military regiments, citizens’ groups, marching bands and floats in the parade.
