Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet today congratulated Mercury Payment Systems in Durango after it was named Technology Company of the Year by the Colorado Technology Association. The award is given out annually to a company that demonstrates leadership in innovation and profitability and shows a commitment to the community.
“Mercury has proven itself as an innovative leader in payment processing technology, helping companies all over the world serve their customers,” Bennet said. “It has also become a leading employer in Durango, creating jobs for hardworking Coloradans. This recognition from the Colorado Technology Association is well-deserved. I look forward to seeing Mercury continue to grow and thrive in Colorado.”
In April, Bennet joined Durango Mayor Christina Rinderle, Mercury CEO Matt Taylor and Mercury employees at a groundbreaking event for the company’s new headquarters. Mercury employs over 300 people in the Durango area.
