Washington, DC – Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, released this statement following American Eagle’s announcement of new service to the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport starting in December.

“Tourism is a major economic driver in Colorado’s economy,” Bennet said. “These new flights will make it easier for more visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley, meaning more jobs and more opportunities for economic growth.”

American Eagle announced today that it will operate the daily trips with two-class CRJ-700 jet aircraft.  The service will run from Dec. 15 through April 2, 2012; then resume June 14 through Aug. 20, 2012.  Customers may begin booking the new service beginning Monday, Aug.1.
