Denver, CO — Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, released the following statement today on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on America:
“Today, we honor the Coloradans and Americans who lost their lives in an unthinkable act of terrorism. While we remember the horror our nation faced nine years ago today, we are also reminded of the heroism we saw on that day and have seen from Americans serving abroad since as well as the veracity of the American spirit and pride in our nation that we rallied around following the attacks. We are united in a commitment to our country, to democracy, to our liberties and freedom and to the men and women of our armed forces who defend our ideals overseas.”
