Rifle, CO – Friday, August 14 at 12:45 pm, Michael Bennet, U.S. Senator for Colorado, will visit a natural gas flex rig with officials from Williams Natural Gas near Rifle. Bennet will hear from officials and employees on how natural gas, when extracted responsibly, is critical to Colorado’s clean energy future and is a key component of efforts to address climate change and reduce the nation’s dependence on foreign oil.
The visit will follow two town hall meetings, one in Frisco and one in Edwards, earlier in the day.
The group will meet at 12:45 pm at Starbucks Coffee Shop, 900 Airport Road in Rifle, and caravan to the site. The ride from Rifle to the rig will take about 15 minutes.
